Dances Of Fire – four techno house tracks made from the elements of fire! Black like the sand of crushed lava. Glittering like the setting sun in the shallow surf. Mysterious, energetic.
Let’s be grateful and dance with the fire!
BLACK SAND
A hypnotic loop, created in the tropical heat under the influence of an African wind on the south side of La Palma (Canary Islands)! The hookline is intense and alternates between a sense of optimism and the lethargy one feels at 40 degrees Celsius on even hotter black sand. The thought of cooling off – jumping into the cold waters of the Atlantic – is constantly pushing forward. It’s like waking up from a dream, surrounded by steep cliffs and the clear, dark depths of the ocean.
Just a heads-up: there’s a risk that you’ll get too comfortable with this and start feeling too good about it after a few listens.
ROOFTOP ACID
In 1987, acid house was born! It was the start of something big, and in Ibiza’s clubs such as Space, Amnesia and KU, dance-crazy ravers from all over the world partied to XTC until the early hours of the morning. Drums with a real punch, handclaps accompanied by those bubbling acid lines from the Roland TB-303 sequencer and purple-red pads will take you on a journey to the beginnings of electronic club culture – a journey you’ll never forget! Rooftop Acid was created by the pool on the roof of a hotel in Ibiza Town. With the party blues of a wild night in Las Dalias and Akasha in my head, it was easy to turn my emotions into a rousing acid house track.
DRUM DUST
The first musical instrument played by a living creature on the threshold from animal to human was a stick. It was an element made of wood that was used to beat rhythms on another object. This is just my humble opinion, but I’d like to share it here.
Rhythm is the catchiest basic structure that stabilises a track, and the drum is probably one of the oldest musical instruments, along with the flute. Drum dust is deeply anchored in every musician’s DNA. It’s a really beautiful and moving feeling to programme or write sounds in notes and notes in arrangements. I’ve been able to experience this recently, among other things, and it really touched me.
It’s like poetry in its most minimal form, accompanied by stomping kicks, snares and a caterpillar of drum dust milling its way into eternity.
One day, I was in my home studio on Krautstraße in Berlin, and I recorded this amazing track. I was really feeling the spiritual energy.
After a two-week holiday on the volcanic island of La Palma, Canary Islands, I realised how important it is to live in the moment. I would encourage you to take a deep breath and listen to your inner voice.

LAS DALIAS
The lovely techno house track „Las Dalias“ was born out of a feeling that has haunted me on several visits to Ibiza (2004, 2017, 2018) and holds a crucial position in my music DNA.
In May 2023, after a fantastic Sven Väth party at Las Dalias/Akasha, I was relaxing by the pool of my hotel in Ibiza town, and the amazing memories of the previous night were gently drifting through my mind. The visit to the Las Dalias location, also known as the oldest hippy market on the island, was incredible. It’s an old finca surrounded by stone walls that enclose an enchanting oasis. I was blown away by the spacious courtyard with its small bars, shady canvas awnings, lush plants and large palm trees. It was one of those special moments in life that you never forget. The scent of incense was in the air, making the atmosphere even more pleasant. And the warm, glistening sound of the sound system, which perfectly matched the slowly setting sun as it directed its rays towards the entrance to the finca, was just the icing on the cake!
The indoor club Akasha, which continued from 11 pm in the house of the finca, was a real treat! It was a subtle club landscape at the highest level. The long, rectangular room shone with simple light animations that also ensured optimum sound quality. At times I felt like I was dancing in a futuristic bell jar below sea level. Simply breathtaking!
As so often in life, the places you pay special attention to reward you with happiness and joy. It was truly impressive! The music, location and feeling that brought together guests of all backgrounds and ages in a wonderful crowd is unforgettable and worth living for. This magical night of Sven Väth’s Catharsis united people in moving times. The techno house track Las Dalias is a tribute to one of the best moments in club culture I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing. It’s my message to the universe!
Mil gracias!
